Would I recommend: Sure if you are wanting to learn about slavery other than American Slavery!
The confessions of Frannie Langton told the story of Frannie Langton, a Jamaican slave who is accused of murdering her employers, George Benham and Marguerite. i was most interested in the differences between the ways slaves in Jamaica were treated in comparison to those in America but this book gave me so much more. I enjoyed the prose but the story line went a little wild at times and I felt that many parts could have been condensed… As I kept screaming girl come on with the ”tea”. Frannie at times disappointed me because she was so educated yet very naive at times which infuriated me to no end… Is it worth a read? Sure… Was it my favorite? Not so much… Would i read another book by this author? Sure. The ending left me There were some jewels for quotes so be sure to bring a highlighter for annotations!
